Why give to the Moyo Center?

  • The Moyo Center is dedicated to building inclusive communities across Rwanda and Sub-Saharan Africa by providing quality training, professional development, and research opportunities. The Center aims to enhance support systems for children with disabilities, particularly those with autism, and promote accessible, inclusive education for all.

  • The Moyo Center offers a range of services, including teacher training, community education, autism therapy and consultation rooms, a model inclusive classroom, and support for educators and healthcare professionals. These services are designed to foster inclusive education practices and provide holistic support for children with autism and their families.

  • The Moyo Center is currently in the process of registering as a national nongovernmental organization in Rwanda. In the meantime the Center is in partnership with The Grace Foundation and The African Education Project - both 501(c)3 U.S.based non-profits.

  • The Moyo Center aims to transform the landscape of autism services in Rwanda and beyond by training educators, advocating for inclusive policies, and supporting families. Their goal is to create a sustainable model of inclusive education that not only improves the lives of children with autism but also strengthens communities and promotes understanding and acceptance.

“When we approach others with empathy, generosity, and understanding, we build connections that make our world a better place—a world where every ability is respected and welcomed.”
